Privacy policy

This privacy policy describes how KelTech, LLC ("KelTech", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit tfsmith.com or purchase an TFsmith license.

The short version

This site has no user accounts. We collect the minimum information needed to sell and deliver license keys. TFsmith itself runs entirely on your own infrastructure, contains no telemetry, and never transmits your data to us. Paid licenses check in with our license server sending only the license id - nothing else.

Information we collect

Purchases. Checkout is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. From Stripe we receive your email address, the plan you purchased, and your subscription status. We store this in order to mint your license key, deliver it, and manage your subscription.

License delivery. Your license key is sent by email from [email protected], which requires processing your email address.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization to understand aggregate use of this marketing site, such as pages viewed and general region. We do not run ads and we do not track you across other sites.

Server logs. Like nearly every website, our servers keep standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) for security and operations. Logs are rotated routinely.

The TFsmith software

TFsmith is self-hosted. Your identity provider configuration, stored exports, users, and credentials never leave your infrastructure and are never transmitted to KelTech - we could not see your data if we wanted to. The software contains no telemetry. Paid licenses activate against license.keltech.ai and periodically refresh; the only data sent is your license id and an anonymous install id, never anything about your tenants. Annual licenses can use an offline license file for air-gapped networks, which makes no connection to us at all.

Third parties

We share information only with the processors required to operate: Stripe (payments, subscriptions, and the billing portal), Google Analytics (aggregate site analytics), and our email provider (license delivery). We do not sell personal information, ever, to anyone.

Retention

Order and license records are kept while your subscription is active, and afterward only as needed for tax, accounting, and legal obligations.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Note that deleting your order records may prevent us from reissuing a lost license key.

Cookies

This site sets Google Analytics cookies only. Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout on stripe.com, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

Children

This site and our products are not directed at individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
